Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is a distinguished Pakistani vocalist renowned for his mastery of Qawwali, a devotional musical tradition rooted in Sufism. As the nephew of Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and the son of Ustad Farrukh Fateh Ali Khan, as well as the grandson of the legendary Fateh Ali Khan, he hails from a prominent lineage of classical and devotional music performers. Beyond his expertise in Qawwali, Khan also performs ghazals and other light musical compositions, establishing himself as a versatile artist. His contributions extend into the international film industry, with notable involvement in the soundtracks of Hollywood productions such as Dead Man Walking (1995) and The Four Feathers (2002), the latter in collaboration with composer James Horner. Additionally, he collaborated with The Derek Trucks Band on the song Maki Madni from their album Joyful Noise and lent his vocals to Mel Gibson's film Apocalypto (2011).
